The goal of this project was to make it easier for customers to order food in advance during busy periods or when they are short on time.
The project was completed in a team of four students: two Interaction Design students (second year) and two Graphic Design students (third year). Our task was to develop a new app for either customers or employees at Norvald Café and Tjønnås Delikatesser. After reviewing the interviews conducted across the course groups, we decided to focus on improving the experience for customers.
My main responsibility in the project was designing a mobile prototype together with another Interaction Design student. We developed an app featuring a click-and-collect ordering system, along with a Too Good To Go–inspired feature called “Save the Food!” (“Redd maten!”), aimed at reducing food waste.
The design concept was based on the visual identity of their existing website. While the current website has an outdated design, the goal was to modernise the interface while maintaining the brand’s visual identity.
